HorsesDiwall, I downloaded your mod and launched it, but I'm not sure how you're supposed to ride the horse. Clicking on it doesn't do anything and there isn't a context menu option for it either. I'll dig into the scripts and see if I can figure it out but if you read this sometime today, feel free to point me in the right direction. |

Re: HorsesTaking a peek at the guts of the module, I'm guessing part of the problem is that my PC doesn't have the ride skill. Still, there doesn't appear to be anything to actually initiate the RIDE. What am I missing? |

Re: HorsesI made a small demo module to test custom active feat and the way it works in NWN2. Already done it in NWN1 but there is some difference between them. |

Re: HorsesBTW, since we've obviously got the talent here, maybe a phenotype-based implementation a la Gilean's rideable horses released for NWN years back would be a better solution than static models, if it's possible in NWN2. That way, the PC would actually appear on the horse with all their gear. |

Re: HorsesWell, if anyone could code something like that, it wold absolutely be the best solution. However this requires new PC animations, witch is not possible as far as i know. The only solution i an think of, is editing some emote animation into a looping riding one. |

Re: HorsesThe scripting part is actually rather uncomplicated. The trick is in creating the phenotypes, which I believe is a mounted version of each PC. But that's just vague recollections of the implementation. I haven't looked at this in years. There were two versions, a creature based version and a phenotype based version. Re: HorsesI thought I'd just point out for posterity that we'll have at most 4 playable races and mainly just human. Perhaps even only humans can ride (making that another benefit of the race) which would limit the amount of phenotype adjustments involved if we pursue this down the road. |
