A Few Questions

Hello! I just stumbled across this last night and I had a few questions to ask.

1. How far on track is this to allowing roleplay ingame?

2. What kind of support do you expect to get when ingame roleplaying is allowed? (By that I mean, how many people would you expect to be roleplaying regularily?)

3. As regarding character creation, are we supposed to create characters in the same setting as other player characters? (By that I mean, Say someone creates a character from House A, would it be allowed or even recommended for another person to create a character from House A, and for them to roleplay together. Or is most roleplaying supposed to be solo?)

EDIT: I've also noticed that a lot of threads are from 2011 and before.  Is this still being actively worked on?

Re: A Few Questions

Hi Azarias,

1. Best estimate I can give you is > 50%.

2. The game supports DMs and players. DMs are always hard to come by so we'll be lucky if we have more than a few to be honest. As for players, given the number of users that are registered (in the thousands), I can't imagine not having at least 20 players regularly. It could be a lot more. I have no way of really knowing until we launch and let players get on.

3. Ideally, yes players will join houses from the actual setting and actually run them so that we can build on the kind of political intrigue Martin introduced in A Game of Thrones. This is something we'll coordinate through the forums. One caveat is that to play a noble (like lord of a house) players really need to have good roleplaying skills and solid understanding of the setting (like have read the books). The more prominent the house, the more important this becomes.

Re: A Few Questions

Ah ok. Well you guys should do monthly announcements/ news articles. That way any new visitor to the website will know that this is still a real thing!
